So often I hear from women who feel very much alone.
They can be surrounded by family and friends yet still feel as if they are standing apart... without "real" connection to someone who can help bear their burden. To be a woman and to face the realities in life that can knock us to our feet, and face it alone... is heartbreaking. Week after week, I get emails from women in this situation. Sure, they go about their day to day life with people around them, but these people do not truly "know" them. This is why it is SO VERY important to be connected with other like-minded women of faith. Now do not get me wrong, there are plenty of women who are very compassionate, but if they do not have Christ living within them, they cannot view the world through HIS eyes. You cannot connect spiritually in mind and heart. They cannot help guide you in the way of the Lord if they have not found the right way themselves. As you face your trials, you need to be surrounded or connected by heart and mind with at least "1" woman of genuine faith.
Look closely at the beautiful picture of the fish above...
Any group of fish that stays together for social reason is said to be shoaling. If the shoal is swimming in the same direction together, it is schooling. About one quarter of fish shoal all their lives, and about one half of fish shoal for part of their lives. When we become a genuine woman of faith (ask for cleansing of sin and Christ lives within), we now see the world with different eyes. Our heart and mind is focused on living for Him and in His will. We now have a genuine desire to be surrounded by those who also have Christ living within them - we are bonded. We share the same focus.
Fish get many benefits from shoaling. These include defense against predators.
The devil loves to see us hurting, depressed and without hope. Yet if the shoal of fish swim together, it is less likely any one of them will be eaten! The same is true with us. As burdens and trials obstruct or hinder us in our walk of faith, we need others who understand the spiritual walk. We need friends who have the same heart and mind to gather around us for protection and prayer. As we bond in prayer and encouragement, we protect each other. And did you know that the school of fish may even swim faster than a lone fish? Any shoal member which stands out in appearance may be targeted by predators. This may explain why fish prefer to shoal with individuals that resemble themselves. As we surround ourselves with other genuine women of faith, we protect each other with spiritual encouragement and protective prayer! We swim together through the strong currents and powerful storms that desire to pull us apart and make us an easy target for predators.
So today I ask you...
ladies, can we do this "1" thing? Can we come together as a shoal and swim as a spiritual group who is not afraid to face the dark ocean? Let's shoal & form a protective school!
I love hearing from you. With all my heart I read and pray for you and your needs.
