As we travel this road of life, we soon discover that it will not be a smooth ride.

Picture

It seems so many struggle to find their own identity in life and at the same time feel the need to be everything to everyone.

We enjoy the smooth roads in life, but it is a SURE thing that up ahead,
we will encounter stretches of road filled with trials.  It is on these trying roads that we are refined, shaped & strengthened.

In a world filled with ANXIETY and FEAR how do we cope?

Where do we find COMFORT and CALM?

We long for a rest area, an escape from our present journey.

You may feel there is NO place where you can run to escape the rough road, but there IS a person who can encourage you on.

  • She is the genuine friend waiting to help in any way she can with words of encouragement and prayer.
  • She is a confidant, she is a pillar for you, she is a genuine friend.

Think there is NO such person?
Well, they are out there.   Waiting to meet you.
They are called genuine sisters in Christ.

I say "genuine" because so many state they are a "christian" yet they have no outward characteristics, compassion or caring heart for other hurting women.  Those "certain" women mentioned in the New Testament followed His steps along the way, totally giving their life to Him.

So who is this genuine sister in Faith?
  • She is your "encourager" along the road in life.
  • She is a "genuine" friend and one who wants what Christ desires for you.
  • She has given her life to Christ and seeks to encourage others as His servant.
  • You hurt, she hurts.
  • You are blessed, she is blessed.
  • You have a need, she will try to fulfill it.
  • You need prayer and comfort, she is there willingly.
  • You are not on a list of names to call - your name is written in her heart.
  • She does not wait for you to ask - she sees the need
  • She understands your heart when you cannot find the words
  • She is an eternal friend

How would I describe a sister in Christ?

Picture
First of all she is "genuine."
A genuine friend sent to you by God.

She is a spiritually mature woman who can
offer support & prayer.
She has a sincere desire to reach out to one
who is hurting.
She has the love of Jesus within and it shows.
She is a
 listener, an encourager, a prayer
warrior and can be trusted in confidence.

She will tell you the truth, even when
it may not be what you want to hear.
She is always there for your, whether you live
close by or at either ends of the world.
She is always praying for you.

Yes, we all need a genuine sister in Christ.
And... w
e all should desire to be one to someone else.

I hope you will come by often and read the "M" Words blog

Before you move on to the BLOG... let me ask you "1" thing.

Are you His?  Are you a genuine woman of faith?
Uncertain?     Let's clear up that uncertainty.

Have you asked Jesus to come into your heart and life?
#1 - we all need to ASK Him into our life
#2 - only He can erase the past and make you brand new
#3 - Only He can give you a new life, a new beginning (born again)

Forget about "religion."  Religion is worthless.
It's about a personal relationship with Jesus.
You can have it, right now.
Put your concerns, fears and uncertainty aside.
Just give your life to Him - it will never be the same!

Picture

In genuine sincerity, you can pray something like this...
Jesus, I know that I am not the person
You desire me to be.
There is a lot in my past and mistakes I've made,
and I know my sin separates me from You.
I believe You can erase it all and give my life new meaning.
Here I am, allow me to begin again as Your child.
I surrender my life to You.

I now open the door to my heart.
Come in
, Lord Jesus.

Now...
God does not promise health, wealth, or ease.

God has promised to transform us from the inside out.
HE is intensely interested in the person we are becoming.
Circumstances may not change,  but our transformed heart will find hope & comfort.
Your eternal life has just begun!
Fear not, what may happen in life here,
for you Christ living within and He will be your Comforter.
