Here it is...the middle of summer. We are involved in additional activities and most of us venture into the wide open spaces of the beaches, forests and countryside. All this had me think, "Do you see the same things that I see when we look at the 'same' thing?"
It is without question that the eyes of a person of genuine faith sees the world differently. I watched the video below and was surely impressed by what so many people flocked to the darkness and woods to see. They were excited and amazed, but yet at the end of this video I was saddened for they did not see what I saw! Watch the video below and ask yourself what you 'see." And also think about what you heard from the commentator and those who commented. OK... so it was pretty beautiful. But what was sad about this video? What did all those people miss? Sure it was pretty amazing to see these fireflies called Synchronous Fireflies.
They gather together at a certain place, at a certain time for a certain thing.
The show is spectacular and yet, no one realized in this video who caused it all. No one person mentioned God. Not one person was amazed at HIS creation. A heavenly Creator placed all this in motion while so many earthly eyes watched and no one ever gave Him a thought. How sad! Oh, how sad. My heart aches for those who have not come to Christ and become His child; for to see with His eyes we must be His. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Light." Yet they do not "see." They see the world with earthly eyes and have no idea what they are missing! May the eyes of many be opened to see the light of Christ that waits to make them His own. As for me, I just can't help but watch and marvel at an awesome Creator and take the opportunity to "tell" my children and grandchildren how a loving God placed all this here for our pleasure. Praise God! Nature is one of God's beautiful creations. Through nature, God is able to teach us and speak to us. The wonders of nature, the wonders of the human body...amazing. Let me watch another video, and let me just think on the handiwork of God! Verses to ponder about: Matthew 13:13 "Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. Luke 8: 10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to the rest in parables; that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand. John 1:5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:3Comments are closed.
