How to not get "blown away."

We live in a world that is very stressful. From our home life to our work life, there are daily demands and unending new trials.   The world is an ever increasing dangerous one. So how do we cope with it all?

Each day our feet hit the floor we know not what we will face.  Any day could bring life threatening weather-related storms, accidents, terrorist attack or have you caught in the middle of a crime.
There are concerns of zika virus, computer grids going down and economic collapse.
We try to prepare for emergencies, but often are caught by surprise.
So as women of faith how do we prepare ourselves for all that may blow our way?
We should be prepared with a first aid kit, water, some food storage, flashlights and some cash.  But most of all we need to be prepared "within."
  • Is your spiritual first aid kit ready?
  • Can you draw on your inner spiritual strength to help you through the emergency that is coming your way?

You must store up Bible verse within your heart and mind to calm and strengthen you during the storms.
  • It would be a tragic mistake to be found unprepared as a woman of faith.
  • When minutes matter, you must pull His Words from within you, to arm yourself in the storm.

So many of the Psalms were written during times of trial by David.  The trials kept on and on. ]
Fear, loneliness, desperation, regret, heartache...his words are written for us.  Yet he pulls out his strength and praises the Lord and thanks Him for His blessings!

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me
bless His holy name.  Psalm 103

I cannot tell you how many times I have used Psalm 103 myself.  It has long been hidden in my Spiritual First Aid kit.   I can take a deep breathe, pause and pull His Word to my mind.

His Word calms and reminds me that nothing happens in my life that
does not pass by His eye's first.
