Take the jab or not, distancing, schooling at home, unemployment, wear a mask, don't wear a mask, anxiety, fear, job loss, unpaid bills, truth vs lies... where does it end?We all will agree that 2020 hit us all hard and 2021 has been relentless with daily new darkness creeping over our nation. Limiting our eposure to the negative and focusing on the positive is vital. Focus. Stay on the path. Finish the race the apostle Paul urges us! I am prayerfully spending more time thinking on my life and just "what" God would expect of me in these times. God is fully aware of my feelings, my circumstances, and "where" I am in my walk of faith. Where we are in our faith will determine just "how" we handle all this world is throwing at us right now. So where are you? Are you feeling as if the world is crumbling around you? Can you accept each day as it comes, burdens and all, walk on and let God enable you to cope? Enable...an important word. Letting God "enable" you is allowing Him to provide the means or the opportunity to move on, to cope no matter what. It is letting God make it possible for you to weather these storms that are hitting you one after the other. Are you looking to God to enable you to face each storm? Honestly... this is the only way we can step forward in this walk of life. Staying focused and finishing well. The last twelve years have been hard, very hard. Yet, the last twelve years have given me a much stronger relationship with my Lord and Savior! Only through His strength have I been enabled to endure. Of course, I still do find it difficult at times to say that I consider my trials a joy. "I consider it all joy to encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of my faith produces endurance." (James 1: 2-4) Do I really consider it a joy to go through these trials? If I understand that God is preparing me and molding me, I will come to be able to say this. Endurance... yes God will enable us to endure. He enables us to face the trial and then He lovingly creates in us the endurance. We must submit all to Him and lift the burden from our hands. So how are you coping? Have you taken the opportunity that is to be found in these trials to build a solid relationship with the Lord? Have you submitted to allowing God to work in your life enabling you to weather the trials? If not... I urge you not to miss the promise He has given. John 16:33 is one that must live within you. "These things I have spoken to you, that in ME you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." Jesus clearly states "in ME," and "you will have tribulation," but He has overcome it all. Don't miss it! He waits for you to come to Him - bear your heart, cry out and give Him all of your burdens, ask Him to work through and in you to endure. As we are enabled by God to endure these times, we can look with wonder and anticipation at how, one day, He will use us to help others. Indeed, as you come through your trial and encounter that person He desires you to strength with your words, you will be able to say, "Yes, I have been there and God gave me His strength to enable me to endure the circumstance. Let me tell you my story!" A bit on encouragement as your spend time talking with God... Remember dear friend in faith...
