Beauty. The world is obsessed with it. But what is "true" beauty? These bodies will age and deteriorate as time goes on. May we invest our time, mind and heart in that which will last for an eternity... a beautiful spiritual heart. It has been well said... Don’t think less of yourself but think of yourself less. This world desires for us to focus on our outward beauty, when Christ desires for us to build and focus on our spiritual beauty. It has been many years since I have splurged on a handbag that costs over $25.00, or even gone on a shopping spree as a new season approaches. Sure, like all women, I desire to look my best, but I refuse to mold myself into what the world tells me I must reflect. I would much rather focus on the eternal things in this life, that which will never fade, age or deteriorate. Wouldn't you rather please God than the world? Sure you would! Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness. – 1 Tim. 2:9-10 Comments are closed.
