Did you know you are VITAL to your husbands life?

We all can remember the excitement that built up in the time before that special day.  That person we love so much will become our life-long mate, our closest companion, the one we will share all this life brings our way.
But in a world that is filled with dark times and hardships, did you know that you
will be vital to his life?

In this world we will face hard times...but as Christians we have a special weapon, it is called "prayer."

We must be certain that we, as women and as a wife, understand how important it is to pray for our husband.  Not just for his physical well-being, but most importantly for his spiritual well-being.  There is nothing in this world more important than prayer.
From the moment you said, "I do,"  there is an enemy who desires to destroy your bond of marriage.

Satan seeks to destroy your husband by what he see's, in what he hears, in those who cross his daily path, in his integrity and in his role as husband and father.  But you as his trusted mate can use the special power of prayer to protect him from the enemy.  Each day, trust God through prayer as you continually surrender your husband and marriage to the Lord’s wise and loving care.

You can bless your husband by praying for him! The Apostle Paul instructed all Christians to pray for one another (Ephesians 6:18).  This includes the responsibility of a wife to pray for her husband.  It is such a blessing and a privilege to pray for his protection and spiritual growth and also a blessing for him to know that his wife is praying for him daily.  (Proverbs 31:11-12).
  • Pray that your husband will continue to grow spiritually and that he will grow as a man of wisdom and understanding, fearing the Lord. (Prov. 3:7, 9:10; Ps. 112:1)
  • Pray that your husband will be blessed with wisdom to handle the family finances according to the will of God and that he will have discernment in all things.  (Prov. 23:4-5; Rom. 12:13; Heb. 13:5)
  • Pray that your husband will have a humble heart and mind, and also a servant’s heart in serving the Lord. Pray that he will listen to God and desire to do His will. (Prov. 15:33).
  • Pray that your husband will learn how to trust relax in the Lord in all things, especially during times of great stress and emotional strain; knowing that true inner peace and joy is found when Christ lives within him.  (Proverbs 3:5-8)
  • Pray that your husband will desire to seek God in prayer daily.  Pray that he will make time to meditate on His Word and grow stronger spiritually, to be molded into the man of God he is intended to be.  (1 Thess. 5:17; Luke 22:46; James 5:16)
