As Women We Wear Many Hats...which do you wear?

Mother's Day is quickly approaching, and it is at this time of year that we look back on the women in our lives, and how they played a part in our own life.
We first think of our own mother and the influence that took place.  Firstly, we now know as grown women, that there is no perfect woman.  The world will try to tell us we need to be a perfect "10,"  but we all have flaws.  And yet, we strive to be everything to everyone in our life.
We may be wearing the hat of a wife, and yet still must be wife, mother, worker, teacher, nurse, homemaker, cook and friend.  Our life is not one role, but many.

So how are we able to wear so many hats?

Each day most of us awake to a schedule that controls each hour of the day.  The alarm goes off and we are off and running, showering, dressing, cooking, getting children up, grabbing coffee, heading to work, rushing home, cooking supper, supervising homework and collapsing into bed.  Then it begins all over again.
Here is where we find the difference between a faith-filled woman and her many hats, and a woman of the world and her many hats.
Each will wear them differently.  Sound a bit silly? Follow me now for a moment.  You see, both women will face difficulties in trying to be a woman juggling her many hats in life.

The woman of the world (who is relying entirely on herself), may falter and struggle thinking she is inadequate and fall into the waiting arms of frustration and anxiety.  The mature woman of faith, on the other hand, knows it is not in her strength that she can accomplish all that is demanded of her, but only through the strength of Christ.
Have your ever met someone who you knew had a strong relationship with Christ, and noticed she handled all that was thrown at her with grace, peace and acceptance of His will?
Surely she hurts physically and emotionally at times, but she draws on her spiritual strength to sustain her.   This is the woman of faith who knows where her strength comes from, she knows she alone cannot move forward, but she does so knowing that HE will see her through.
This woman of faith has learned that through the difficulties He will see her through.  Christ will enable her to be all she needs to be as her role as a woman in Christ.

Whatever hat you wear tomorrow, know that HE desires to sustain you.  As Corrie Ten Boom stated, "If God sends us on stony paths, He provides us with strong shoes."

So you can wear the hat AND know that He will provide the shoes also!

Blessings to you!

Beautiful post! I always turn to Him when I am going through tough times. I trust in the Lord that everything will be okay.

So glad you like the post.
Physical strength is what we can carry.
Spiritual strength is what we can bear. As a born again child of God, we do all through His strength. Phil 4:13 This is how we handle life. :)
