Are you "well" loved?

Love is in the air...

well, with Valentine's Day approaching, it's all about hearts, flowers and candy.

Love, love, love.  We all need it, we all search for it, we all thrive by it.

A friend once described her mother as the one who loved her best.  Another did not have the same experience with her mother, and stated that her neighbor showed her the motherly love that she lacked at home.

Yet another woman I know stated that her grandmother was the greatest influence in her life throughout her childhood years through young adult life. Her grandmother was the one who was there for her through all things, schooled her in the ways of the world, and showed her unconditional love.   Unconditional love - this love is priceless and precious.

Not everyone is as fortunate as those mentioned above to have someone in their life that will love them unconditionally.  Not everyone has had the opportunity to feel what genuine unconditional love "feels" like when you feel as though your world is falling apart.

Love it not meant to be a game where sometimes you win in love and sometimes you lose.

A newborn cries, knowing that their mother will come to them and comfort them.

We do not need to be a child psychologist to know that a child needs to feel loved in order to normally and socially begin a good life.  Love, attention and security are all needed to to complete a healthy life.

Scientific study shows that love, attention, and affection during the first years of life will have a great impact on a child’s emotional, mental and physical well being. It is vital for a newborn infant to be touched- to be hugged and held close - it has been stated that this physical touch  actually causes a child's brain to grow.

Most of you reading this are now beyond your 20's and are still  seeking that unconditional love or wishing you had this unconditional love in a relationship you are now in,

I can tell you with great joy that you need seek no further.  Look in the mirror.

That person looking back at you is loved unconditionally!
Through Christ each one of us can experience being unconditionally loved by God.

Please take time to open your bible  to 1 John, chapter 4 HERE.

You will see that the word “love” occurs 27 times!
God's love through Christ is cited as the source of our love for God and for others.
Verse 8 explains that GOD IS LOVE. This love is SO great that He sent His Son to die for us.
Would any of you who are a mother willingly give up her child to save another?  Hard question to answer. Yet God did that for us.

"In this is love, not that we loved God, but that HE LOVED US and sent His Son to be the payment for our sins." (verse 10).

"We have known and believed the love that God has for us." (verse 16)

"We love Him because He FIRST LOVED US." (wow!  verse 19)

God's love for us is not dependant on who we are, what we do, what we know, or what we look like.  He does not drop a bit here and there.  It is a never ending stream of love that flows from His heart into our heart.

No matter what your family or friend connections are or how weak or strong your connections are, there is no one who will love you as much or as unconditionally as JESUS.

No matter what our family or friend experiences are or how dysfunctional they are, we do not need to seek this unconditional love from them.   We can feel unconditionally loved by Christ.  We CAN know this love.  We can draw this love from His inexhaustible source.

We can know He truly cares for us and we in turn can find comfort knowing that no matter what we face, where we go, who we are with, or if we feel alone... HE is there and yes, we are unconditionally loved.

When we understand that Jesus is the only One who can fill our heart and mind with this unconditional love, then we in turn can pass the love on to others.

Yes, when Jesus Christ is our One true love, we are unconditionally loved!

As we carry that love deep within, we are strengthened to face what this life will bring us.
Through the heartaches of life, the trails of tears,  the emotional and physical pain and the anxiety... we can draw on His unconditional love knowing that we are HIS and HE is there with us enabling us to move on down the road of life toward a glorious eternity one day.

Knowing... yes, "knowing" God loves you unconditionally changes everything!
If you believe this truth, fear will NO longer have ANY hold on you.

You may be suffering or in terrible pain, maybe feeling unloved, but the honest truth is that you are loved --- very deeply and personally.

This Valentine's Day... spend time with Jesus, your One true love.
Feed on His Word that He has protected over time, and you will be drawn ever so closer to Jesus.  How glorious to know that you are perfect in His eyes, loved and never truly alone.
