"3" Ways to Deal With Difficulty...

2/26/2016

Picture

Why is this happening?  Is there something that I have done to cause this circumstance?
Why do I feel like it is a never-ending cycle of one trial to the next?
This is not the way I thought my life would be.   No one can understand how I feel right now.

We all have faced life's trials and wondered, "Why?"  And there really is no answer for the "why."
For the woman who has given her life to Christ, and placed all in His hands, there is no dwelling on the "why."  As we continue on in His strength we must understand this one thing:
Our Lord works harmoniously to make negative circumstances work to create positive results; allowing difficulties for His sovereign direction.

1. REST in the Power of Christ  (Mark 15:1-5)
What an example Christ set for us to follow in His footsteps! If He could stare up at the hill called Calvary, and confidently rest in the control of God, what possible financial, physical or relational trauma can cause us to shake in our boots with worry & fear?
On Christ the solid Rock I stand!

2. RELY upon the people of Christ (Mark 15:21)
If Jesus needed and received assistance on the most significant and demanding day of His life, how much more do we as flesh-and-blood followers of Christ need to learn to lean on the ever-loving arms of our fellow spiritual pilgrims for support, sustenance and stick-to-itiveness on our up hill journey of faith?!
"not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together... but encouraging one another;"  Heb. 10:25
We can do more together than we can alone.  Two are stronger than one alone.

3. REJOICE through Cross of Christ (Mark 15: 37-39)
Through the atrociously agonizing activity of the crucifixion of Christ, God was creatively constructing a spiritual bridge that would provide the means by which fallen humanity could break free from the shackles of sin, and cross safely into the redeeming presence of the Living God!

In similarly dramatic fashion, when we experience persecution on our jobs, a financial set-back or an unexpected stay in the hospital, our Lord has the awe-inspiring creative ability to harmoniously forge positive outcomes from the ashes of seemingly negative events.

God can bring good out of all things.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.   Romans 8:28   (NOTE: the bold underline)
