It's a cloudy and rainy day here in the Georgia mountains, yet it is refreshing. Today is the one day in the week that I can slow down and think.
After morning worship, I come home and prepare dinner while hubby heads to the fishing hole before Nascar begins. About 2pm I retreat to the computer desk to think, write and pray on what to share in the coming week.
Honestly, I get revived as I delve into the notes written in my Bible and study notes from years gone by. As the sunlight peeks briefly from the clouds and shines through the white lace curtains beside me, I feel as though God is filling me with fuel to write. Writing down my thoughts and searching His Word for the richness of His promises, I think of all of you who have emailed with prayer requests, comments and concerns.
A genuine friend listens not only to the words that we speak,
We may not know each other face to face, but we CAN know each other heart to heart. One of the most loving things we can do for a friend is to pray for them. So I pray that today is a special blessing for you in some way; whether by just taking time for yourself, or knowing that no matter what may come your way this week, His comfort lies within you. Draw on it.
My daily prayer for a sister in Christ...
You have a purpose for placing people on our path in life.
I thank you for placing ______________________on my path!
I pray now for my dear friend. She is such a blessing in my life.
I pray that You will use her in Your service and strengthen her spiritually along the way;
for You know her heart and what obstacles she faces and the emotion she feels.
Thank You Lord, for molding her and shaping her into the woman of faith You desire her to be.
May each new day fill her with confidence knowing that it is You working within.
Help her to forget the past scars and to move on the path You have planned.
Fill her mind daily with Your sweet peace, knowing that she can cast all on You!
In the most precious name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
