                                   slow down...

Take "10" minutes to read our posts.
Don't let the world mold you...
be the woman GOD desires you to be!

What do you see?   by Jo

Looking into the mirror, what do you see?

What are your priorities in life?

What kind of woman do YOU desire to be?

Obsessed.  It is the perfect word for the world we live in.
So many are obsessed.

We are so concerned with how we are perceived by the world.
When you think about it, we really are becoming more and more controlled by the world and the things of the world.  We are not becoming who we truly desire to be. We are led astray and told to fit into this certain mold of what the world deems as acceptable.

We are constantly connected.
We are never without a cell phone.
We feel we need to be connected to and liked by everyone.

Social media has molded and formed many into animated beings, following every thought and whim that is presented before our eyes.  The clothes we wear, music we listen to, relationships, lifestyle...all are being shaped by the world and not by our own moral choosing.

Falling into this trap of being led by what the world thinks is good for you and what the world finds acceptable is contrary to who we really should be.  There are foundational morals, truths and guidelines to help us live healthy lives and yet the world is erasing all of them, little by little.  They are being erased and this will lead to a world of utter chaos and immorality.

My friend, there are guidelines in life, not to hinder your happiness but to enhance it.
God desires for you to focus on Him, not the world around you.   Oh, how you need Him!
Sadly, many will never realize how much they needed Him until it just may be too late.

When we focus on what the world demands of us, it will lead to emptiness and self destruction.

The world has continually made it apparent that there is no guidelines in life, there is no God and we are free to do as and what we please.  This results in shallow lives, empty lives and destruction.  Sadly so many have come to know anger, depression and emptiness.  Emptiness that can lead to a terrible life if we do not know what can fill that emptiness.

We all are created with a "void" inside that can only be filled by a loving God who waits for us to focus on Him.  Without Him living inside of us we have this hole of emptiness, confusion and uncertainty.  We begin to believe all the world shows us to be true - but it is not the real truth.

“They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator–who is forever praised. Amen.”  -Romans 1:25

Reach for a Bible, my friend.
The Bible is like an anchor to a wandering person who will be swallowed up and left to float in a vast and lonely sea. His Word is truth and the truth will set you free from the world of lies. Oh how I wish so many would open their hearts and minds to a loving God who waits...waits for us to need Him!

Fill your life with the promises and love that is found in the Bible.  It is no ordinary book, but a love letter from God.  Begin reading Mark and read Psalms 103 and 104.   These always fill me up and get me back on the right course.  It all makes sense and works together for our good.  God waits for us to draw close to Him, don't let the world pull you away into a never ending sea of untruth and emptiness in life.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.    James 4:8

Why on earth would anyone pass up the opportunity to be eternally secure, confident of their future, and filled with inner joy and peace?

Take time to draw close to Him and listen...
