 Looking for love... we all need it. From our birth we are held, cared for and protected. We do not outgrow needing love. We mature and seek that same love and attention we had as a babe. But where are we looking?  3 Ways to Stand Firm in
Your Faith Through College College. For many, it’s a time of learning, exploring, and growing. As a young woman considering attending college, you’re probably excited of visions for the future. But what about your faith?  God said No.
A boundary was laid. Numerous more were laid after that. Each commandment He made was another boundary. Even Satan was given boundaries that he was unable to break without special permission (Job 1:9-12).  Honor thy father and thy mother. Exodus 20:12
These are words most all of us know by heart. The fifth commandment. They are listed even before "thou shalt not murder." For some of us, this commandment hasn't been all that rough. We had loving, godly parents. They sought God's Will in everything they did. They prayed for guidance in raising us. They showed us love in every way they knew how, and they genuinely wanted the best for us. We accepted that love, discipline, and guidance. But for some of us, it's a different story.  Academics. In high school, I placed my identity in Academics. If I did not do so well on a test, my day was ruined and sometimes even my week. For the next month, I felt the pressure to do perfectly on every assignment possible. I was holding myself to unreasonable expectations.
 Last month I wrote part 1, of "the fruits of the spirit."

The devil really attacked me last week! I had the worst case of carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand and wrist. The pain and numbness were unbelievable! I could not type or write. Thank you God for helping me get better. Now for the thoughts on my brain!  As I was getting ready for church, I reached for one of my favorite necklaces. It is a glass front pendant on a long chain. Inside are several tiny charms that float around. I smiled as I looked at my tiny treasures, a tiny nurses hat, an angel, a cross, a heart with mom written on it, a circle that has walk with God on it, and a diamond all float around against a piece that says blessed against the back.
I began to think about the people who gave me this beautiful gift.
