Gone are the days when we could eat whatever we desired. For me that ended after the birth of my children. For many there are thyroid issues, stress, obsession with junk food or physical limitations.
So many of us struggle...
Our study focuses on recognizing that your struggle with weight is not a burden but rather a blessing in disguise. When we give our burden to Christ, we can pull on His strength to lead us to victory. As we prayerfully and wisely choose what we eat, we grow closer to God in the entire process. This is not a how-to book on weight loss or a new diet plan, it is a companion and encouragement material to use with your healthy lifestyle plan.
A healthy diet will vary from person to person, depending on factors such as age and lifestyle. We must stop focusing on "diet" and focus on Christ to enable us to make a GENUINE lifestyle "change."
I became "hooked" you might say, on a healthy lifestyle change after our car accident in 2005. Eating to nourish a healing body was my objective and praying for guidance and wisdom was a priority.
Sit down and make an honest list of the bad food choices you are now making. How can you eliminate them and replace them with "live" food (salads, fresh vegetables). What are you drinking and how much are you drinking daily? Water is vital to good health and aids in weight loss.
Ask God to enable you to make these changes. He will help you to take one step at a time towards a healthier lifestyle.

TALK TO A DOCTOR
After 18 years working in the health field as a Med/Surg Asst, I have seen many patients visit their doctor seeking answers but leaving with only a script in hand.
