Following  a  path

                                                                   toward natural wellness.

How healthy are you?

Don't laugh...but over the years of working in the health field, I have come to realize something when visually looking at a person.
You can find out a good deal about a person by looking and touching their feet.
I told you not to laugh. But really,  you can.
There is fungus, cracking toe nails and skin, odor and poor color, and also pain, redness and swelling that are sending out RED flags.  Are you paying attention?
Would you take off your socks in a group of people and show others your feet?

Certain parts of our body are trying to get our attention.
It may be not only your feet trying to warn you of some silent problem, but also your hands, neck, back, eyes and neck.

We consider sickness as having pain, a disease, fatigue, and weakness.
To be healthy, we desire stamina, energy, physical strength
and a limber body.

So answer a few questions and see where you need some help:
Picture
  1. How does you skin look?  Is it blemish free and soft?  How is the color?
  2. Is your hair thin, falling out or is it shiny and full?
  3. Are your teeth free from tartar, bleeding gums and decay?  ***
  4. Do you sit straight up with shoulders back or slouch and have back issues?
  5. Can you walk a mile or even a half of a mile?  Do you have chest pain?
  6. Can you move and stretch slowly without joint pain?
  7. Do you sleep at least 8 hours?  Do you sleep well?
  8. Do you frequently get colds or the flu?
  9. Are you more than 20 lbs over your ideal weight?
  10. Do you have stomach, digestion problems or problems with swallowing?

Take a good look at yourself, and include your feet...
then pray for guidance in giving your body what it needs to help it heal and repair.

***For example, if you have bleeding gums, you may need more Vitamin C or improved oral hygiene.
Eating mostly processed over produce isn't just a bad idea for your waistline, but your teeth will not appreciate it either.  A  diet with at least 6-8 fist-sized servings of fruits and vegetables, along with nutritional supplements of calcium, vitamin D, vitamin C, magnesium, and anti-inflammatories such as fish oil, are critical building blocks of oral health.

The proper diet can boost the integrity of the entire immune system and nourishes the oral soft tissues, which are the most vulnerable in the body, she says.

The first step toward wellness is admitting we DO have some problems and then addressing them first from our own willingness to regain health.
If you are willing to be your own best friend and pray for guidance, come back here often and follow along with "M" Words Becoming a healthy woman.  After many years of working and witnessing some big mistakes people make, I may be able to pass on some info to help you get headed in the right direction.  It is all about knowledge.  And most of the time it is hidden from us because we are not willing to question or delve deeper.
Many become lazy and chalk it up to "just aging."
Well pfooey!

This amazing body that God has given us CAN repair and heal itself in many instances,
(all in His will for us) but we need to give it what it needs and what it is lacking.
