![]() Yup, that's me kissing a pig. We were in St. Louis visiting my daughter and my favorite son-in-law, (he's the only one). One evening, Craig asked us to join them for a meal at his favorite restaurant -for barbecued pork. Now, not that I have anything against eating pork, I love it - but it does not like me! So I gave the pig a kiss, and told him, "Sorry, no thanks."
![]() Keeping up with life in the fast lane makes us all candidates for adrenal imbalance. But factors such as poor diet, too little sleep, allergies, environmental toxins, chronic inflammation plus social, physical and/or emotional pressures actually increase your susceptibility. Do you have any red flag symptoms? ![]() It is the desire of God for us to be "whole." This means our physical, emotional, psychological wellness as well as our spiritual life. We all desire to be strong, vibrant, filled with energy, free of disease, and able to do all we physically desire. But to walk toward wellness, we need to choose things that nourish. ![]()
I don't understand. Why me?
I begin each day with a daily routine that hardly changes from day to day. I try to do my best at all I do. I love God. I love my friends and neighbors. I try to be fair to all. I volunteer in my community. I am not rich, just average. I am not asking God for much. I just want to feel good! Life is not always fair and it always seems as if bad things happen to those who are trying to do their best. But this body we wear is not perfect. As we grow older, we feel the abuse we have done to our body in years prior. Poor diet, injuries, neglect and lack of exercise. So now what? ![]() You think you are doing the best you can. You try to eat healthy and not feed yourself and family, food prepared "from a box" for dinner. You buy those so-called healthy shakes and bars, and try to buy fresh fruit and vegetables rather than canned. You believe you are doing O.K and giving your body what it needs. But often there are symptoms that slowly appear, trying to warn us that something is amiss. Is God's masterpiece -- your body, trying to tell you something? Are you listening? ![]() I was once invited to join a ZUMBA class and I laughed. Now not that I do not admire those that choose to do zumba, but it is not for me. Why would I desire to do such vigorous exercise when I know it is not necessary. It is actually NOT good for some people and I would say that too much exercise can actually do more harm than good. So don't be too quick to judge my words. Ditch the "exercise" and read on. ![]()
So who is lying here?
I've always told my children, "The punishment will be twice as bad if we ever come to see that you are telling a lie." Can you really trust anyone who you know are lying? You can never place confidence in that person. Sadly there are many untruth's regarding health that we only know about if we do our own investigating. Let's talk about some lies that we often believe regarding our health... |
