At first you may be wondering how these three words fit together. Antidepressants are the 2nd most prescribed drug today. People are taking them for other reasons than depression. More than 1 out of 10 is using antidepressants for pain, ADHD, anxiety, migraines, fibromyalgia, and more. Yet they are not FDA approved to treat many of the conditions they are prescribed for.
People on these drugs over time lose a sense of hope, become indifferent and they feel they never can get off of them.
The withdrawal is difficult and it proves how much these drugs affect the brain.
There is a dark side to antidepressants.
More research needs to be done but the drug manufacturers are in no hurry to pay for research since they are making lots of money.
There are many who feel they have no other option but to take these medications.
But you do have a choice. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia after a head-on accident left me broken, in pain and suffering daily. I was handed 6 prescriptions and told to deal with it.
I chose to ditch the scripts and turn to God for guidance.
After much prayer, lifestyle change, diet restrictions, physical and massage therapy, God made me whole again. It took over 4 years, and during this time I waited for God to place the right people on my path and for Him to place knowledge before my eyes.
Today I pass on what God showed my through my trial.
I freely tell them of diet, lifestyle, prayer and about placing all in His hands.
My hope for you is that you will first focus on the will of God and ask for His guidance.
He will not let your cry go unanswered. No matter what His answer may be, you will be given spiritual strength to make the proper decisions concerning medications.
We are too quick to take the prescription and run, believing it is our only hope.
But Christ IS our "only" hope. Our life IS in His hands.
Jesus clearly tells us to come, ask, seek...
Come to Him in humbleness.
Ask for wisdom and guidance.
Seek His answer to your situation.
Most of all ask Him to place the right people on your path -
whether it is the right surgeon, therapist or friend.
Pray for the "one" HE desires you to go to for help.
Why not place your life in His hands and see where it leads you?
You just may be surprised at how He works all things
for your best and be especially blessed!

TALK TO A DOCTOR
After 18 years working in the health field as a Med/Surg Asst, I have seen many patients visit their doctor seeking answers but leaving with only a script in hand.
