"7" THINGS TO CONSIDER... to stay well this season

Don't wait for a miracle cure or vaccine... 
   get your body stronger NOW and be ready to fight!

It is hard to say what this Fall/Winter season will be like, but you can be "1" step ahead by preparing your body NOW. 

And this year, of course, we are all wondering about FLU/Virus AND Covid.  
The flu, virus and respiratory illnesses that we focus on generally spread in the same way. 
Now when someone sneezes, we want to freak out and think, "Covid!"

When we cough, sneeze, talk or breathe we can spread tiny droplets that carry a virus from one person to another.  We tend to be indoors more, gather in groups and with family for the holidays.  Spreading love, cheer, hugs and germs.   

So be prepared.  Not by buying tissues, cough med and nasal spray, but by building a better body.  Give your body WHAT IT NEEDS to fight when some invading virus enters your body. 

Question, an honest one...
Your diet - Do you eat like crap?   
Is that putting it in easy to understand words? 
You need to act. 
​You need to take the 1st step toward a healthy body.

Cut out the sugar, eat more vegetables, skip the soda and fancy sugar coffees. 
Honestly... you ARE what you EAT. 

I generally eat NO bread.
Sure I cheat here and there (mmmmm biscuits & butter).

I eat eggs in the morning, no donuts, no bread.  
I eat only between 10AM and 6PM - why?   
That gives my intestinal track time to clean out and rest from digestion. 
 I build my immune system when I have a happy gut.
I have been on Healthy KETO and I have lost 15 lbs (now 119 lbs!) and feel great.

  •  "7" Things I do to boost the immune system

There are many tools that we can use to boost the immune system.
  1. Is your Vitamin D  low?  Optimizing your levels can help naturally boost your immune system;  I take at least 5,000 iu daily - but in the Winter months I boost it to twice a day. 
  2. Quality Vitamin C is a must!  Vitamin C and Bio-Quercetin Phytosome is a high-potency vitamin C supplement with an ultra-absorbable form of quercetin. Vitamin C supports immune health, collagen production, a healthy cardiovascular system and more. Quercetin is a flavonoid that complements vitamin C’s health benefits. 
  3. Your Gut!  Address the GI tract;probiotics and gut healing; much of our immune system starts in the gut, therefore it is important to heal the gut, via immunoglobulins and glutamine
  4. I always have Elderberry in my refrigerator.  Elderberry is what I reach for at the first sign of a sniffle. Elderberry has been shown to naturally boost antiviral cells in the body
  5. Magnesium - I take Magnesium Taurate twice a day - (great for heart health and palpitations I am told by Dr Sanja Gupta/York Cardiology, UK
  6. Zinc is essential!  Zinc is necessary for the normal function of the immune system. Even mild zinc deficiency.  Zinc helps regulate immune response to ensure that inflammation doesn’t get out of control.
  7. MY PERSONAL GO-TO when I worked around sick patients. Never have  I taken a pneumonia vaccine/flu vaccine.   Oregano capsules.   Everyone in the health office made fun of me,  but they got ill, I did not.  I had the last laugh. 

"5" Additional recommendations:
  •  Avoid sugar, processed foods, and alcohol, which can suppress the immune system
  •  Stay hydrated, especially with electrolytes in water
  •  Wash hands! Don't touch your face unless hands are clean.  Did you just pump gas,  or use the ATM or go grocery shopping?  Open a store door?  
  • Traveling? Utilize air flow vents on plane to help circulate air, to prevent stagnant air.  Wear a breathable mask on the plane. TRY this"TRAVEL CLEAN KIT." 
  • REST! Make sure to get your ZZZ's!  Sleep/rest is extremely important for your immune system


 "7" THINGS YOU MUST DO
 ... if you suspect or have been around someone with  COVID19
  • 1. Stay home except to get medical care
  • 2. Call ahead before visiting your doctor
  • 3. Wear a face mask
  • 4. Cover your cough/sneezes
  • 5. Avoid sharing personal household items with family members
  • 6. Wash your hands often and sanitize surfaces around home
  • 7. Monitor your symptoms, and seek immediate attention if you have difficulty breathing

​Choose wisely what you "feed" it.

  • The basis for using high doses of vitamin C to prevent and combat virus-caused illness may be traced back to vitamin C's early success against polio, first reported in the late 1940s.   [6] Many people are unaware, even surprised, to learn this. Further clinical evidence built up over the decades, leading to an anti-virus protocol published in 1980.
  • ​[7] It is important to remember that preventing and treating respiratory infections with large amounts of vitamin C is well established. 

Why has the benefits of natural alternative treatment been ignored or pooh-pooed?

ANSWER:  ​I guess there is no money to be made in natural alternative treatments.
