"2" things to massage the years away...

With some simple facial exercises, it is possible for you to firm up or rid yourself of that double chin , puffy face,
and tone up those lines and wrinkles.
Learn the basics of "facial massage."

Did you know that you can do facial massage right at home?
This massage that helps with lymphatic drainage will reduce toxins, tone the skin and give a youthful, healthy glow.
It is all right at your fingertips...
or if you can afford it, at the hands of a skin care professional.
So let's massage the years away!

We all love to be pampered and indulge ourselves in beneficial beauty treatments.  But for some of us, it is just too costly.  Well I would like to help you master some techniques that can benefit your skin and your wallet. For years I've used aloe on my skin, along with a facial mist (more on this in another post).  At age 62, I have signs of aging but not what I would have if I was not conscious of some info.

Skin facts:

  • Our skin bears the brunt of the aging process and begins to lose its elasticity as well as its glow as the years go by.
  • A high carbohydrate diet is very damaging to the skin. (pizza, pasta, pastries, etc.)
  • Alcohol is also an aging promoter.  Forget it!
  • Lack of sleep, diet, stress...all can cause facial ligaments, whose job is to hold the fat pocket under you skin in place, to weaken.   Sagging skin!
  • Eat fresh fruit, vegetable, spouts, nuts and seeds. The nutrients in these foods help clean your gut, detoxify the liver, burn excess fat and promote sleep.
  • Drink 10 glass of water a day  ( I am a firm believer in water, water, water!)
  • Don’t smoke. Smoking damages important connective fibers like collagen and elastin, causing permanent wrinkles.
  • Take plenty of vitamin C  to keep your skin elastic.
  • Cut salt.  It makes the body retain fluids rather than flushing them out.
  • Include calcium rich food in diet - spinach, broccoli and sesame seeds help reduce  water retention.

Learn to do simple facial massage to tone and firm facial muscles, keeping your face looking young.

Just a few minutes of daily facial massage can fade lines, tighten skin, and make you look refreshed again.

What do you need?
"2 hands."
And a few drops of a nourishing oil"

I really learned a great deal about facial massage from watching this video below.  It is simple to learn the techniques and some can be done while lying down, before getting out of bed in the morning.
I especially like the techniques beginning at 6 minutes, 30 seconds on the video.
I use a combination of coconut oil & olive oil (I make this myself - more on this in another post).

You can purchase a quality coconut oil for facial massage HERE.
Another choice for me is usingthis lavender oil combination for facial massage.

Here is another facial massage technique that I do before falling asleep.  This is for the forehead lines.
Sturdy thumbs above each temple.
Holding your first 3 fingers together, rub your forehead
in small circles starting from between your brows and then
moving up and out.  This increases circulation , stimulates collagen to help reduce and prevent wrinkles.

All you need is your 2 hands
and you can improve your skin over time.
