I love living in the mountains. The beauty changes day by day and the views can be breathtaking. But did you know that the mountains can also offer "breath-giving" views; views that can breathe hope into your heart?
In Psalm 27, David comes to see one such life-giving mountaintop view!
God sets David "up upon a rock."
From this spot, David can see that, "in God," he has protection from his enemies.
But most importantly, David can see that he has a future and a life.
In his confidence, he shouts, "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness
of the Lord in the land of the living." (vs 13)
As we go about out daily routine, we become worn and tired.
As we try to be faithful as a woman of faith, it seems harder and harder.
God invites us to come out to the mountain to see the view from Christs' point of view. From the cross, Jesus had a life-giving mountaintop view.
From the hill called Golgotha, He could see our future!
A "life-giving" view.
Thank You Jesus!
Where were YOU?
You were right there!
