It is the desire of God for us to be "whole."
This means our physical, emotional,
psychological wellness as well as our
We all desire to be strong, vibrant,
filled with energy,
free of disease, and able to do
all we physically desire.
But to walk toward wellness,
we need to choose things that nourish.
Most people are not as healthy as they could be for the simple fact that they do not know.
Knowledge is power. What we eat, how we think, how much we move,
what we see, what we allow into our mind, all this is important.
Let's begin with stress...
Did you know that about 75 percent of all visits to the physician are stress-related issues?
It could be headaches, insomnia, digestive problems or skin problems that are the symptoms;
or weight loss or gain, muscle aches or fatigue.
Stress is the body and the mind's response to ANY pressure that disrupts the balance of the physical system. The body reacts to this disruption. Those who have stress have a higher rate of death than non-stressed people. Yet God clearly teaches us this:
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Philippians 4:6,7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Stress triggers a chemical reaction in the body that releases elevated amounts of adrenaline and cortisone. Over long periods of time, this can lower the immunity and the person is much more prone to illness, infections, disease and cancer. Stress can and does kill.
So what to do?
TALK TO A DOCTOR
from home. 24/7
After 18 years working in the health field as a Med/Surg Asst, I have seen many patients visit their doctor seeking answers but leaving with only a script in hand.
