Just because it is sitting on the drug store shelf does not mean it is harmless.
I have been telling my husband for years, not to take Aleve so often, if at all.
Today was the day he admitted,
"Honey, I do have to say I should have listened."
Storms of the Heart
Day in and day out, our hearts have the endless task of pumping blood through the 62,000 miles or arteries, veins and capillaries in our bodies. Seventy or so beats a minute, 4,200 beats an hour, 100,800 beats a day---it adds up fast, and most of us never give it a moment's thought.
Are you plagued with your heart jumping around?
Feeling flippy or floppy?
Modern drugs can be miraculously life-saving, and many illnesses demand their use.
But what happens when our reliance on powerful pharmaceuticals blinds us to their risks?
Painful side effects and dependency are common, and adverse drug reactions are America's fourth leading cause of death.
Know When Drugs Are Necessary, when alternatives may be better - and when to just let your body heal on it's own.
Your immune system...
protects your body from bacteria, virus, fungi and other harmful organisms.
But toxins in food, the environment, poor diet and stress can all contribute to a decline in immune system activity. If it is weakened, your body is subject to fatigue,
illness and infections.
Keeping up with life in the fast lane makes us all candidates for adrenal imbalance. But factors such as poor diet, too little sleep, allergies, environmental toxins, chronic inflammation plus social, physical and/or emotional pressures actually increase your susceptibility.
Do you have any red flag symptoms?
It's logical to say that persistent stress or fatigue can be a warning sign for a serious health problem; including diabetes, obesity, hypertension and heart disease.
So first, sit down with your doctor and get some bloodwork done.
In the meantime, I want to share info on a supplement that can help with stress, aging, inflammation, memory, heart and possibly more.
It is the desire of God for us to be "whole."
This means our physical, emotional,
psychological wellness as well as our
We all desire to be strong, vibrant,
filled with energy,
free of disease, and able to do
all we physically desire.
But to walk toward wellness,
we need to choose things that nourish.
We all have our morning routine...walking half asleep to the bathroom. Another day has begun.
Thank you Lord. We brush the teeth, wash the face, then roll on the underarm deodorant.
We do it all without ever thinking about "what" we are rolling onto our skin. Sure, I want to do all I can to protect myself from breast cancer. So SHOULD I be concerned about WHAT I am absorbing into my skin and tissues? YES.
OK. So you are reading all you can about thyroid issues since you feel you may have a thyroid problem yourself. Your doctor may have tested your blood in the past and told you "all is fine." But you have all the thyroid symptoms. So what do you do?
As for me, I had "goiter" (swelling of the thyroid) after a head on collision. So I knew there was an issue. I needed to delve deeper.
Working in the health atmosphere for years, so many women complained of unexplained weight gain, being tired all the time, lack of motivation, and brain fog. Yet, they were told nothing was wrong and it was just stress. Now what? Take a pill? No way.
There is a growing problem and most people do not understand their body well enough to realize just what the problem could be.
Much of the population is not educated about the symptoms that they are experiencing.
If these symptoms are not addressed and treated, they can lead to obesity, heart disease, depression, anxiety, hair loss, infertility, and more.
I don't understand. Why me?
I begin each day with a daily routine that hardly changes from day to day. I try to do my best at all I do. I love God. I love my friends and neighbors.
I try to be fair to all. I volunteer in my community.
I am not rich, just average. I am not asking God for much. I just want to feel good!
Life is not always fair and it always seems as if bad things happen to those who are trying to do their best. But this body we wear is not perfect.
As we grow older, we feel the abuse we have done to our body in years prior. Poor diet, injuries, neglect and lack of exercise. So now what?
In the morning I never use soap on my face.
Not even the homemade soap that I make myself twice yearly which is great for my skin. I just use cool water and pat dry.
The reason for this is that you do not want to strip your skin of the natural oils. This is especially true for aging skin.
If your skin is dry and then you apply makeup (as so many do in the morning) your skin will appear dry, cake-y and wrinkles will be so much more noticeable.
In the evening in the shower, I use my natural homemade soap on my skin. Then twice a week I use a duo that find is great for exfoliating and nourishing skin. Find out more...
You think you are doing the best you can. You try to eat healthy and not feed yourself and family, food prepared "from a box" for dinner.
You buy those so-called healthy shakes and bars, and try to buy fresh fruit and vegetables rather than canned.
You believe you are doing O.K and giving your body what it needs.
But often there are symptoms that slowly appear, trying to warn us that something is amiss.
Is God's masterpiece -- your body, trying to tell you something?
Are you listening?
